We are excited to announce the launch of our new Creating Futures magazine! The South Slave Divisional Education Council (SSDEC) is committed to fostering excellence in education and supporting the needs of our diverse community. With this in mind, we're thrilled to share stories of success and initiatives that are making a positive impact in our communities.

Our magazine is a celebration of the amazing work we're doing at SSDEC. It features articles on work-life balance, meeting the mental health challenge, and curbing toxic masculinity, all of which highlight our commitment to addressing mental health in our communities and schools. We're also proud to showcase our efforts to promote Indigenous cultural richness and diversity, through educating students about the cultural richness of the Indigenous people in our communities, and honoring their contributions and traditions.

In addition to these articles, the Creating Futures magazine features stories about the Trades Awareness Program and the ConnectedNorth program, aimed at fostering engagement and enhancing education outcomes in remote Indigenous communities. And don't forget to check out the exciting news about the upcoming JK-12 NWT Curriculum Renewal!

We invite you to download the magazine today to learn more about these important topics and see how SSDEC is creating a brighter future for our students. Whether you're a student, educator, or simply someone who cares about education, our magazine is a must-read. So, why not grab a cup of tea, find a comfy spot, and dive into our new magazine? We promise you won't be disappointed!
